Firefox IIS Username Password
Wednesday, October 11, 2006, 08:46 PM - Web, PHP
After fighting with FireFox to open IIS websites with PHP on them, I finally stumbled across a website with the fix on it:
1. In Firefox type about:config in the address bar
2. Find the preference named network.automatic-ntlm-auth.trusted-uris
3. Doubleclick and type localhost
4. Enter and you're done
That's all it took. no more Username and Password box.

I played a little with Ajax.Net Professional this weekend, and I really like it. Forget those refreshes with every click or user change. On-the-fly updates look just like a thick client! I might just convert myself to "one of those web guys"!![ add comment ] | [ 0 trackbacks ] | permalink |

Looking for an easy, snappy way to clean up the UI on your web apps? Take a look at the Dojo Toolkit. It has a number of slick controls and UI items, including Tree Controls, Drag and Drop, etc.

( 2.9 / 130 )View Partial Source
Thursday, June 2, 2005, 09:32 AM - IE, Web
Ever been looking at a website, say to troubleshoot it, and don't want to look through 5000 lines of HTML to find what you are looking for? Then Microsoft has a powertoy for you.
While it's technically for IE5, it works fine in IE6 also. Basically, you select a few lines in IE, right-click, and select "view partial source", and the source for the selected text is shown!
